New York Post: Retired cop seeks baby he helped deliver — 25 years ago

All he’s got to go on is a 25-year-old photo of a newborn — and the address of the Bronx apartment building where he helped bring her into this world.

Now, a retired NYPD detective is asking the public to help him track down the baby he helped deliver in a Marmion Avenue home in 1994, just so he can make sure she’s OK.

“She was wrapped up in this blanket to keep her warm, and she looked like a little burrito,” retired Detective Angel Maysonet told The Post on Monday with a chuckle, recalling the last time he saw the child, who would now be a young adult.

“It was a hot summer night,” Maysonet, who retired in 2014, recalled of his special delivery.

He and his partner, James Bennett, both in their early 20s, were on the overnight shift when the call came in at about 4 a.m. for a woman in labor, he said.
